Secluded Abundance - Montecito, Newport Coast

This family garden is one of the firm’s earliest achievements and has aged gracefully. Even before water conversation was a hot topic, we were drawn to plants appropriate to the area for their rugged beauty and graphic textures. A challenging aspect of the project was the relatively small lot size. Without feeling crowded, we have successfully created spaces for two custom water features, a giant spa, a covered seating area with fire place, an elevated landing with sunset views and a rose garden. All these elements, artfully executed and properly scaled, create a feeling of secluded abundance.
