Casual Estate Garden - Shady Canyon

This 27,000sf lot in a exclusive golf community in the California coastal hills, is the home for a retired couple. The grand scale allows for winding garden walks, a 30 foot lap pool, vegetable garden, small olive grove, croquet lawn and several destination seating areas. With an eye for simplicity and rich textures we have created a casual California estate garden. The hardscape surfaces vary from handmade brick to local flagstone and gravel. Plant materials throughout the garden are water-wise, while higher water use spaces have been limited to fruit and citrus trees and a desired lawn area next to the pool.
